9th April 2023 Hiking - Walking: Landguard circuit Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny periods and sea fog. Max Speed: Distance Covered: Sunday 8th April - walk **** Circuit of Landguard Nature Reserve - sunny periods and sea fog! The Easter family fun continues on Easter Sunday with loads of egg hunts and baking, my sponge skills continue to improve with the help of a great new purple mixer, Arlo made some cool Easter Bunny biscuits. Then with good weather, sunny with light winds 5 of us drive to Landguard Nature Reserve Bunny spotting, real live ones and brightly coloured ones put out for the kids to find! Arlo takes his scooter which as usual is carried by an adult quite a lot:) It was quite busy with people enjoying a Sunday stroll as we end up by the River Orwell with the large dredger, the ?Rotterdam? working with loads of yachts out too and a small container ship heading in. We should have taken a picnic and sat on the pier but never mind. We then set off across the grass still seeing the odd linnet, then something spooky happened as the breeze picked up a little and a thick sea fog rolled in dropping the temperature and visibility, exciting really, it really made our hair wet too! Then home for a late lunch followed by a yummy slice of the cake. Mag and I are knackered but Arlo has enough energy for a trip to the park at The Grove and comes back with wet feet!
